Biography: Charley Wiley grew up in Atlanta, DeKalb County, Georgia graduating from Avondale High School and Georgia State University. In 1980, Charley graduated cum laude from the Walter F. George School of Law of Mercer University where he was a member of the editorial board of the Mercer Law Review and member of the Moot Court Board. Charley was recognized his senior year at Mercer by the National Law Review for his article about the Georgia Supreme Court's approach to jury selection in death penalty cases. Upon graduation, Charley returned to Atlanta and began his trial practice at Fain, Gorby, Reeves & Moraitakis, P.C. where he became partner in 1987. Mr. Wiley has continued since that time to maintain Martindale Hubbell's highest rating for attorneys. Charley left the Fain firm in 2004 to focus on the trial of major personal injury and insurance related matters. Charley is active in the community having been the Senior Warden at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Decatur, President of the Lakeside High School Tip-Off Club, and President of the Briarmoor Manor Recreation Club, Inc. In 2008, Charley was Chair of the Renovation Committee for Briarmoor Manor when the club underwent a major renovation of all facilities. Charley is married to Janice M. Wiley, LCSW. They continue to reside in Atlanta where they enjoy their seven children and new grandchild.
